TYPES OF APPRAISALS

Independent Appraisal Experts, LLC provides professional and detailed appraisals for Machinery, Equipment and Business Inventory, Tools and Supplies.

When performing an Appraisal for Machinery, Equipment or Business Inventory, someone needs to physically go to the location of the item(s) being appraised. This person must take pictures and gather information so that the Appraisal can be as specific and accurate as possible. Independent Appraisal Experts LLC provides you with the Unique Benefit of having an extensive inspection network so you can obtain an appraisal for a fraction of the cost as other Appraisal Companies. You will have the choice to either request an Inspection Report to base the Appraisal Report on OR you can always arrange for the Appraiser to visit the site personally to take photos and gather information needed for the Appraisal Report.

Desktop Appraisal

A Desktop Appraisal Report determines value without the expense of an on-site inspection and a detailed analysis of the condition of the machinery or equipment. A Desktop Appraisal Report utilizes pictures, descriptions and depreciation schedules of the machinery and equipment that are provided by you to determine the value. The report will include the value of individual items and an aggregate value of all item(s) together.

Desktop Appraisal

With the SBA Regulations laid out in the SOP, a vast majority of appraisals can be performed with the Equipment/Machinery Site Inspection (mentioned above) coupled with a desktop appraisal. We found that doing it this way saves anywhere from $500 to thousands, depending on the appraisal AND you don’t need to find an appraiser who is located in the area of the business. That said – we are willing to travel to the specific business location if necessary. We are localized in Sandy, Utah.

Field Appraisal – Site Inspection & Appraisal Report

A Field Appraisal includes an onsite inspection and an appraisal report. In addition to all that is considered with a desktop appraisal, the Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser uses photos and information gathered from the onsite inspection to estimate the value of machinery and equipment. A Field Appraisal Report includes onsite inspection details and photographs that are obtained and gathered during the onsite inspection. The Report includes an individual value for each tangible asset and an aggregate value with all tangible assets.
